About this planter style
The Window Box is built from standard lumber available at any home improvement store. No special tools required — a circular saw or miter saw, a drill, and basic clamps are all you need.
Cedar and redwood are the best choices for outdoor planters due to their natural resistance to rot and insects. Pressure-treated pine is a more affordable option and safe for ornamental plantings; for vegetable gardens, choose naturally rot-resistant species.
